Derin Öncel is an architect and lecturer. She studied architecture at Mimar Sinan University and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Paris-8. The focus of Öncel's first research was apartment buildings; today, she studies lifestyle, the relationship between morphology and typology, dwellings, and public vs. private space problematics.
