SALT Galata, Workshop IV
March 5, 7, 12, 13, 19 and April 5
09.30-14.30
SALT Interpretation invites high school students to participate in a series of workshops entitled “Who am I?” organized in the scope of the
1+8 exhibition. During the workshops, which will be led by artists Endam Acar and Gözde Türkkan, students will discuss questions related to identity, borders and stereotypes.
While the artists will be utilizing different techniques, each workshop aims to construct a discursive environment for high school groups through the examination of perceptions that relate to political, social and personal issues. The workshop program, starting with the exhibition tour led by the SALT Interpretation team, seeks to delve into questions such as what identity is, which social factors contribute to identity formation, who “the other” is, and how prejudiced we are.
At the end of the workshop, students will be encouraged to create their own photography, collage and video projects. All projects will be exhibited on
Pinterest.
The workshops will be held in Turkish and are open to all high school students.
Free shuttle service will be provided for public schools.
