SALT Galata, Workshop IV
SALT Interpretation invites high school students to participate in a series of workshops entitled “Imagine, Design, Discuss”, organized in the scope of the exhibition
The Performance of Modernity: ATATÜRK KÜLTÜR MERKEZİ, 1946-1977. The series of workshops, which will be held at SALT Galata, aims to build a forum to engage high school students in creative learning and critical thinking. Focusing on the structure-material-design relationships; interaction of architecture and social culture; stage design and spatial perception in architecture, workshops will be led by Zeynep Ataş, Ali Dur, Hayrettin Günç, Emre Gündoğdu, Cem Kozar and Samim Magriso.
The workshop program, which brings together academics, designers, architecture professionals and high school students, starts with the exhibition tour led by the SALT Interpretation team. Following the exhibition tour which will examine the understanding towards public space and cultural policy in Turkey, participants will be asked to come up with their own creative projects by using different materials and techniques. All projects will be exhibited on saltonline.org.
