“Municipal Sculpture” is a fiction referring to works of art, mainly sculptures and bas-reliefs, placed in planned public areas and around institutions in Turkey. These works are often moved, damaged, lost, destroyed or left to disuse as the function and use of their host environments change, and relationships towards public art adapt. Focusing on places and works, the program aims to trigger conversations around these changes.
