After moving to Istanbul as an Armenian citizen forty years ago, Zekeriya Sabunci decided to return and settle in his hometown of Mardin, Derik. Upon his return, he revisits his inherited trade of soapmaking, and becomes witness to the interpretations and memories of the towns Armenian population.

Mahmut Koyuncu is a writer and critic in various artistic arenas, and has consulted in many artistic projects before directing and producing his first documentary film 1 in a Million (2015).
