Za sada bez dobrog naslova [A Film with No Name] (1988)
Director: Srđan Karanović
89 minutes
A Macedonian director attempts to make a documentary about a love story between a Serbian man and an Albanian woman who met during the Omladinska radna akcija [Youth Labor Actions] in Kosovo in 1986. However, the story soon turns into a feud, and the director finds himself caught up in the rising nationalist discourse in the country.
Described by its director Srđan Karanović as "a story of manipulation of people from different classes and backgrounds in the context of self-managed socialism," Za sada bez dobrog naslova [A Film with No Name] won the Golden Tulip Award at the 8th International Istanbul Film Festival in 1989.
The film will be screened in its original language with English and Turkish subtitles.
